ACT School Volunteer Program 2021 - Recruiting NOW

11 March 2021

The School Volunteer Program of the ACT is recruiting volunteers to work in schools in 2021.

It connects mature age adults as volunteers to work with young people in schools.

If you have some spare time and are wanting to find a way to give back to your local community, this could suit you.

You only need to have one hour per week available DURING SCHOOL TERMS ONLY!

We need mentors to assist students to build Meccano® models and we need patient adults who can help children who struggle with reading or using numbers.

Training and induction are provided so that you become part of our volunteer community, helping students who are struggling at school to become confident learners.

Our next Mentor Orientation Seminar will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 12 Noon on Friday 19 March at the Hedley Beare Centre in Fremantle Drive, Stirling.

The seminar will be repeated from 1:00-4:00 p.m. on the same day for those who cannot attend in the morning.

Interested? Then have a chat to Nola Shoring on 0434 537 555.
