2021 E.M. Fletcher Writing Competition - Entries now open & prizes to be won!
27 February 2021
An initiative of the Heraldry and Genealogy Society of Canberra (HAGSOC)
The competition is a great opportunity for family history enthusiasts to share their writing, and is a forum to foster the preservation of family history research through stories.
It will be judged to select the best short story (between 1,500 - 2,000 words) on a family history/genealogy theme. The genre of writing is not limited and the broad theme allows plenty of scope for creativity. Entrants are also asked to include a short 25 words or less 'inspiration statement' about what inspired them to write the story.
Entries close on 15 July 2021, and there is a chance to win $1,000 and special HAGSOC member prizes.
See the attached poster for further information, including this year's judges.
