NEW CHECK IN ARRANGEMENTS AT U3A PREMISES

Message from the President

Members are advised that the COVID Safety Plan has been updated to include new check in arrangements which will now apply at U3A premises at Cook, Flynn, and Hughes. The new arrangements are the same as those used for U3A activities in non-U3A premises and across most venues in Canberra and will ensure that U3A and people attending U3A premises comply with their check in obligations.

Everybody 16 years of age or older who enters our premises for any period of time must be checked in using the Check In CBR app. This can be done in one of three ways:

• You can check in yourself using your own phone and the Check In CBR app. When you have checked in show the green tick to your course leader.
• If you cannot check yourself in on your own phone, the course leader (or the office volunteer if you are only visiting the office at Cook or Hughes) can check you in using the Business Profile on the Check In CBR app. This allows someone who has registered the QR code on their phone to enter attendees by putting in their name and phone number. If you have a Check In CBR card, this can be swiped on the phone or tablet which has the Business Profile open on it.
• If you cannot check yourself in on your own phone, you can ask someone else to check you in using the guest part of the personal Check In CBR app. We only recommend this for people from one household because the phone number is optional in the guest system. When you have checked in this way show the green tick to your course leader.

If you visit our premises and are not going to a course session you must also use the Check In CBR app on arrival. At Cook and Hughes, you should show your green tick to the office volunteer. The office volunteer can also assist you if you cannot check in yourself. Tablets have been set up in both offices for this purpose.

If you do not use a smart phone you can get a free Check In CBR card which makes it easier for venues including U3A to check you in on their business profile. It is a card which can be scanned by the person using the business profile for check-in.
